Editorial Review:
Product Description: The i-ZIP TriCruiser is an electric tricycle that provides stability, comfort and carrying capacity in a classic adult tricycle shape. Check local and state laws. Speed (MPH): 18, Miles per Charge: 30 to 35, Weight Capacity (lbs.): 280
Discount Shopping Product Description: Proving that trikes aren't just for kids anymore, the iZip Tricruiser electric tricycle offers an ideal way to get around town without tiring yourself out. The Tricruiser is equipped with a 450-watt DC Earth magnet motor and an SLA-type 36-volt rechargeable battery, making it far cleaner than gas-powered scooters and hybrid cars. The high-capacity battery also offers a range of 30 to 35 miles per charge, so you can make it back and forth to the grocery store several times without running low on power. And once you're on the road, the Tricruiser boasts a top speed of 15 miles per hour (contingent on the rider weight)--plenty fast enough for most side streets. Is the market too far to walk but close enough that a car seems wasteful? Turn to the Tricruiser, which comes with a high-capacity rear basket that can hold everything from groceries to tools to children's toys.
The Tricruiser is powered by both the electric motor and good old-fashioned foot power, with an easy-to-use "twist-and-go" throttle helping propel you forward. The trike is also extremely comfortable thanks to the extra-wide comfort saddle. Other features include a patented Currie Electro-Drive system with speed-specific gearing, heavy-duty alloy 24-inch rims with full fenders, and adjustable cruiser handlebars with Kraton grips.

Had to take my trike to a bike shop.Printed quick instructions were not very legible. One of the bolts were stripped and had to be replaced and the chain was too short and had to be lengthened. The bike runs well but rattles.

This is a lemon, and it's potentially unsafe.
The first time I tried to ride my tricruiser, its controller fried itself, going up a very short (20 foot) hill. The motor was on at full to go up the hill, and remained on at full down the other side. Letting go of the throttle did not stop it. The safety feature that's supposed to make the brake stop the motor failed. Running beside the bike and trying to restrain it did not stop it. It was stopped only by running into, and right up the ... Read More

I would discourage people from buying this bike. The old phrase "you get what you pay for" definitely applies here. It's a 'good' bike in many ways but disappoints in many others.
What you should know when you buy this bike:
-It's loud
-it's rickety sounding
-replace the tire tubes when you get it, they are thin and mine have all popped within the first few weeks.
-This bike is 1 speed, there are no gears so it feels like your peddling in 10th gear all the time, ... Read More

This item is well-made and working great. It does require assembly by someone better than myself, and it is heavy. This is one motorized item that does not require an operator's license to ride on the streets of a small town; thus, it worked perfectly for my aging father who no longer has a license. This gave him back some independence, boosting his spirit. I recommend this product!

I searched for this item as I did not have any idea of products. I tryed locally in NJ for a source. I no longer drive. I am dependent on family to shop, travel all on their valuable time .
Unit was delivered on schedule and in prime condition. I had my grandson put the unit together. I then had a professional check out the unit . COMENT BY PROFESSIONAL "TOP QUALITY UNIT" It is NOT A POWER ADDED TRIKE AS MOST ARE
