She has a large family and the size handles very large roasts, hams, etc. Cooked evenly and was easy to handle. Very reasonable price for calphalon. Rating: - excellent productThis is classic Calphalon Roaster you can buy in any store, but ... it comes with Domed Lid (I could not find any good roaster with a lid in any store in San Francisco) - if you use it once, you won't go back to aluminum foil EVER, trust me. I use it for bigger parties - mostly roasted ham (or two) and roasted duck. I never go over 450F while roasting - I never had any bad experiences with the material. I specifically put out the additional money as a special birthday present, because of the Calphalon name and also for the nonstick rack it came with.
