 Rating:  - small, light, dim - expensive batteriesThis lamp is very small and light, but a bit dim. It also uses more expensive "button batteries". If being super light is important to you, this may be a good choice. I'm willing to carry a few more ounces and get a brighter beam, longer battery life and more common AAA batteries with this Tikka Petzl E47 PS Tikka Plus Four-LED Headlamp, Soft Rating: - it's alright.The battery doesn't have a long life and I can't get replacement batteries shipped to me because of my unique location in bush alaska. But for occasional use it's a good light for the price. Rating: - Good for close up, not good for walking in the woods. My son took this camping and informed me that it was great for reading in the tent, the little light can be angled on the head strap to point in different directions. He also informed me that it was NOT ENOUGH LIGHT for walking in the woods in the dark, one LED is apparently not bright enough to illuminate a far enough distance and he informed me he wants a brighter flashlight next time. Rating:  - Got my through a bind!I had reconstructive surgery on my left ankle in November of 2007. I was on crutches for three months. I knew that I would not be able to carry anything while I was on crutches. This little head lamp saved the day, or night. When I needed to get up in the night for what ever reason all I had to do was put on the head lamp, turn it on and I had just the right amount of light!
