Banish the chills this winter with the energy-efficient Safe Heat Oil-Filled Radiator from industry leader, DeLonghi. Solo, the quiet radiator serves as an alternative heat source in small and medium rooms. The 110-volt radiator also complements a central heating system, bringing warmth to high-use areas while the main system runs on low for more cost-effective heating.

The radiator construction features rustproof metal for even heat distribution and resilience with pure diathermic oil completely sealed inside. Heat radiates through several vertical thermal tunnels while keeping the hot elements enclosed and out of the reach of fingers and other body parts and objects. Three power settings allow flexibility for diverse rooms and personal heating needs. For energy efficiency, the heater runs low at 600 watts or medium at 900 watts to slowly spread warmth. On high at 1500 watts, the radiator brings full heat to the room with extra speed. Users direct the room's temperature for comfort with an adjustable thermostat. With a 24-hour programmable timer, the heater offers 96 options in terms of temperature, wattage, duration, and activation time. An antifreeze function engages should the indoor temperature fall below 44 degrees F, while the heater also automatically shuts off upon knock-over or overheating. Four wheels enable easy transportation from one room to another. The power cord wraps around for storage. DeLonghi advises against placing the radiator too close to power outlet, outdoors, or near flammables. Avoid running the power line under carpets. Thorough safety guidelines and assembly instructions are included. The radiator weighs 23 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great heater!
I just purchased this heater and after the first day of use I am very satisfied. There was a smell at the initial start up which others have noted but it was insignificant after about 3 hours of use. The smell results from a chemical which they use to prevent the metal from rusting during shipping. At high heat this chemical burns off and there is an unpleasent odor that comes off. After around 2-3 hours most of the chemical and smell are gone. After that this heater warms up a room pretty quick ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nice little heater
I purchased this with some trepidation. There are a lot of options for room space heating and all seem to come with some disadvantages. As this was going in a teenagers attic bedroom, safety and simplicity were very important, as was the ability of the heater to adequately warm the space. I've been pleasantly surprised by how well made this heater appears to be and how effectively it heats the space, maintaining it at a relatively constant temperature for as long as we leave it on. This is after ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Fades quickly!
This product worked great for about six weeks. I bought two at the same time for our house. One of them just stopped working. The other lasted until the next season. We live in Texas, so a "season" is really about eight weeks of use, at most. After about nine to ten weeks of TOTAL use (we only had them on for about four hours a day, in the evening), the other stopped working. These heaters were never mistreated and they were stored indoors. Now we have two heaters that look brand new and generate ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - This is a great heater
I bought this heater last year when LP got so expensive. It did a great job. Yes, if you read the manual it tells you to run it on high outside or in ventilated room for 2 hours to burn the smell off, after this mine has no more smell.

These radiator heaters do not heat real fast but once you find the settings that work for your situation and the temp gets up to your preference it stays there. I recommend running a ceiling fan on low speed, blowing up while using this heater and this spreads ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Exceptionally effective supplementary heat
We purchased two of these as a way of minimizing use of central heating in our big old house and we've been delighted with them. The oil holds heat for a very long time once it gets hot, and we've been able to reduce the thermostat setting by just placing these in the rooms we're using at the time. To our surprise there was a smaller impact on the electric bill than we expected, but a big drop in our oil use. Just be sure to follow the instructions to run them full on for a few hours outside to burn off ... Read More
