Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - We Love Our Kindle but ...
We love our Kindle! Won't be going back to paper for fiction. We love how it's just like a little book, jacket and all. And the screen is such that we can read it anywhere you can read a book. There are several things we would very much like amazon to change about the Kindle though.
First, it is HARD to pick up or shift positions on your Kindle without hitting the page foreward or back bars! Most irritating having to handle it so cautiously. There is hardly any place to hold it without hitting ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Love it As Much As My IPOD
As I read all the comments on the Kindle, think people forget it's a book. Instead of paper you read on a screen. The fact that it allows you to access the internet is a plus, but it's not it's primary purpose. Use a computer. For reading, it is the best. You don't have to struggle trying to keep your book open or holding up one that is heavy. When you travel, you are no longer limited to the number of books you can take and/or the weight.

One of the few enhancements I would like would ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Don't wait!
I read dozens of the reviews. I waited to buy. I asked Amazon if a new version was in the works. I debated. Then a few days ago I took advantage of the $100 off with Chase Visa and have been using my Kindle now for 3 days. It is GREAT! So if you're a reader, especially if you like to highlight and bookmark and look stuff up, don't wait. Get your Kindle and you'll get your money's worth pretty darn quick. Forget the naysayers and just enjoy the many benefits.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Kindle, a work in progress
Now that I have had my Kindle for a few weeks, I feel that it is something that remains to be completed. To start with, it may be good for reading a few books, for the busy person on the run. But I found the newspapers I downloaded were difficult to go through. There is none of the "feel" or the look that you get with an ordinary newspaper. Very convenient, but you have to open most of the headlines to find out what each article is about, which is slow and tedious. In a real newspaper, you can see at a ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Got back to reading again
This device got me back to reading again. I love the lookup dictionary feature. Just wished that other dictionary versions could be added, or that it could be updated. The wifi feature isn't bad too.
