I like the size, although was disappointed it wasn't quite as big as my old strainer that could easily handle two boxes of pasta - this holds about 1 1/2 boxes. It drains everything quite well (nice large holes, but the design keeps solid objects inside). The color is also quite nice. One note is that it does sit low to the surface it is on.
